Lourdes García O'Neill graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Seville in 1994. She has participated in multiple competitions, such as "Only for women" at the Preciados Galleries. She has exhibited collectively on more than 60 occasions and seven times individually: Seville 1995 at El Campanario, Bilbao 1998 Los tamarises, Madrid 2001 and 2004, Segovia 2005 at Galería Petrarca, Seville in 2002 and 2019 at La Caja China.
Her latest work, Pasaje interior, focuses on the emotion of color and the feeling of shapes.
She is a vocational painter, an inner motivation has always been guided. For some years now, she has been working without haste and in silence, in a town in “depopulated Spain”, or on the Huelva coast in winter. And although she has been a figurative painter she seeks to simplify, removing the superficial, cleaning things from her paintings, leaving feeling to act, until she obtains the essence of color and shape. Reaffirming that the important thing is to feel, with color, always the color and those forms that seek your place, that truly fill you with happiness. Feeling free in the large format with oil and mixed media, and small format for meditation and work preparation.
