Six-leaf folding screen, North Italy or South Germany, 18th century.
Each panel is decorated on both sides with central poly-lobed cartouches with gallant scenes, surmounted by circular scenes with inscriptions in Latin and German. The rest of the surface is decorated with carriages, architecture, chinoiserie figures, animals and country scenes. The side of one sheet has been restored.
The side of one sheet of paper is restored, in red and gold polychrome canvas and lacca povera.
