Sergio Moya

Avila, 1981.

Sergio Moya has been trained at the Ávila School of Arts, in the disciplines of Artistic Cabinetmaking, Sculpture and Restoration and has been professionally dedicated in recent years to the Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Assets in various Museums in Austria and Portugal.

His sculptural work is characterized by the use of traditional Castilian woods such as Pine or Chestnut, as well as other tropical species, such as African Teak or Walnut. In them you can see the presence of different organic and inorganic materials, with a clear tendency towards synthesis and abstraction of forms, inspired particularly by the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi.
