Difficult to catalogue his work in artistic movements of his time, he can be included within geometric abstraction, abstract expressionism and informalism. Some see in his work "self-absorption, sensitivity and discretion"; he sees only a lot of work.

From 1988 he will definitively abandon collage to dedicate himself solely and exclusively to wooden reliefs, made from old wood from scrapyards and waste. Next to the relief there is the shadow that he originates and, next to it, the oil painting.

The works in relief that he has been making in recent years are beginning to experience a certain amount of fatigue and a new stage is beginning in which volume is, to a certain extent, marginalised. In 2004 he began a series of experimental works on almost flat surfaces with a clear intention of synthesis and use of new materials.
