Josecho López Llorens
Madrid, Spain, 1965
Artist and designer with a heavy influence of the Minimal and Geometric Art movements. His work ranges from drawing and painting to sculpture, which includes three-dimensional structures with simple, precisely defined shapes.
Developing from a square, a circle or a simple straight line, each of the pieces seeks a balanced final piece where the symmetry of empty spaces as well as the harmony of the visual weight of the work of art as a whole are particularly relevant.
The simplified composition of each piece develops into sculptures which acquire shape and volume whilst keeping the lightness and movement they had on paper, allowing the spectator to interact with the work of art.
