Oliver Johnson

Foundation Course Portsmouth Art College, 1992. Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southampton Institute, 1995.

He has exhibited in galleries and institutions such as: Galería Pilar Parra y Romero (Madrid), Galería La Nave (Valencia), el MUVIM (Valencia), Galería Edgar Neville (Valencia). He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions such as: Poetry and Colour, Chirivella Soriano Foundation (Valencia), Cartographies of Creativity. (Travelling exhibition: Centro del Carmen (Valencia), Museo de Arte Moderno de Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Centro de Desarollo de las Artes Visuales de La Habana, (Cuba).

Sedimentation/ Ornament/ Bricolage/ Parody, questions of Contemporary Abstraction, Casa Díaz Cassou (Murcia).  Louder than Bombs Millais Gallery (Southampton). The Oviedo Biennial, Oviedo Museum of Fine Arts among others. He has also participated in international art fairs such as ARCO (Madrid) and Miart (Milan) and Foro Sur (Caceres). He has been awarded the Alfons Roig Scholarship.

His work forms part of collections such as the CAB Centro de Arte Caja de Burgos, the Unión Fenosa Museum of Contemporary Art (MACUF) A Coruña, the Parliament of La Rioja, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Pego, Alicante and the Provincial Council of Valencia.
